Who We Are
Arizona Central Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution dedicated to putting people first. As a full-service credit union, we’re here to help our members reach their goals, today and for the future. With 9 branches across Arizona — including Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff, and Show Low — we’re proud to serve communities statewide, combining local service with the strength and stability of a trusted financial partner.
We continue to grow alongside our members, with nearly $750 million in assets and close to 49,000 members who call Arizona Central home. Wherever life takes you, we’re here to deliver the guidance, tools, and personalized service you need to move forward with confidence.
Our Story
Arizona Central began in 1939 as the Arizona League Central Credit Union, founded to promote financial responsibility and provide members with access to fair, reliable credit. From the start, our focus was on helping people build lasting financial stability through smart money habits.
Originally serving a small group within Arizona’s credit union community, we evolved alongside the movement. In 1957, we became Arizona Central Credit Union, and through decades of growth and strategic mergers, we expanded our reach to serve more members and communities across the state.
In 1968, we led the way in Arizona by opening membership to employees of select employee groups – an innovative move that made credit union access more widely available. That spirit of innovation continues today, with more than 2,000 partner groups in our field of membership.
More than 85 years later, our mission remains unchanged: to promote thrift, provide fair credit, and deliver on the credit union promise of “people helping people.”
