At Arizona Central Credit Union, we take our commitment to an entirely new level where volunteerism and community engagement continue to be an integral part of our culture. While it is our mission to offer you – our members – the best service, products & low rates, we also commit to giving back and volunteering in our local communities!
In 2023
Giving back to the communities in which we live and work is essential to our mission of people helping people. Last year we:
- Volunteered a total of 1,874 hours collectively by supporting 59 organizations throughout Arizona.
- Our branches added 6 new local organizations to help support their efforts in our communities:
- Thrive AZ, Lost our Home Pet Rescue, Matthews Crossing, Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, Coconino Humane Association, Living Hope Dream Centers
- Helped pack over 3,000 emergency and senior food boxes for St Mary’s Food Bank and presented a $2,500 check that provided 12,500 meals to the community in need.
- Donated $5,000 to Phoenix Children’s Hospital and volunteered by answering phone calls during their annual Give-A-Thon.
- Stepped Up to Stop Cancer by donating a total of $11,771 to Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Tucson Medical Center in partnership with CO-OP Miracle Match.
- Assembled and delivered 6,552 Dental Kits for Southwest Human Development’s children and adult programs.
- Presented Coconino Humane Association with a $1,810 check to help provide animal care and adoption services for the community in Flagstaff.
- Hosted a food drive to support Community Food Bank of Southern AZ and presented a $763 check donated by our amazing Tucson members.
- “Adopted” 50 children whose families can’t afford to buy gifts for the holidays for Southwest Human Development’s Gingerbread Kids Holiday Gift Drive.
In 2022
A year where giving back has been fundamental, we’ve gratefully helped our communities by:
- Granting Cancer Support Community Arizona a $10,000 donation match to help them keep their doors open for patients & families who need their resources, and assuring that no one has to face cancer alone.
- Contributing $1,077.83 among our staff for Southwest Human Development’s Grow a Reader Virtual Book Drive that helped aid to giving 13,000 books to kids in low-income communities across Arizona.
- Donating 400+ backpacks with school supplies, and volunteered to hand out to families in need During the Valleywise Health Foundation’s Backpack School Drive, at the Peoria Learning Center
- Donating 300 jars of peanut butter & jelly to benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank with the help of our branch and corporate staff.
- Bundling a total of 8,000 dental kits and thousands of bookmarks and magnets for Southwest Human Development who is dedicated to “Creating a Positive Future for Young Children”.
- Donating $5,000 to Phoenix Children’s Hospital and lending a helping hand at the Give-A-Thon by answering donation phone calls and assembling activity packets for PCH patients.
- Creating name signs for the children at Ryan House who provides world-class care and programs to children and families.
- Climbing to Conquer Cancer at Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort and raising $1,500 for the American Cancer Society by the help of our staff & Flagstaff branches.
